Archery in Brabant
Archery is the basic art of hunting and combat. Those who used to be able to string their own bow and hit their target had the best chance of survival. Under the guidance of an archer, you will therefore learn to string your own bow. Handy, because you never know. Of course, we shoot targets here on location and not the birds in the beautiful nature reserve. While the archers work in concentration, there is room for spectators to take their seats safely.
Drinks & archery
Complete the experience with a refreshing soft drink trolley and delicious drinks boards! So you will enjoy an all-in outing while archery and along the shooting range. In addition, the shooting range is partially roofed over, allowing handbow shooting to continue even when it rains.
Guild members in the region still regularly take the handbow in their hands. With it, they compete for the kingship of their own 'guild'. Which of you will become the archery king?
You can book this activity for 6 people or more! If you happen to be with fewer people, it is still possible but you will then pay for 6 people. Don't worry though, you will also definitely get the time for 6 people to become a real archer!
Combine archery & create your ideal day out!
It might also be fun to combine it with clay pigeon shooting, toilet pot racing, laser gaming, climbing or canoeing! Go for an adventurous afternoon programme with a Reuselhoeve Rally such as the Dakar Rally or Zandvoort Rally where you can discover various activities for 2 to 2.5 hours.
Also great for business events
Looking for an activity in the theme of purpose & focus then hand archery is the perfect match! The very best metaphor for your meeting. Setting goals together and of course hitting them just like a bull's-eye! Tighten the (concentration) bow to discuss an important topic together and relax the bow in this refreshing activity.
FAQ
What happens in bad weather?
I can imagine you're wondering. The weather in the Netherlands is simply unpredictable (and more often rainy than we want). Fortunately, we have a lot of experience with that😉The hand archery event is partly covered. A little drizzle doesn't spoil the fun.
Should it rain heavily, we will adjust the programme in consultation with you and any other groups. Sometimes we start a little later or take a break in between. In extreme cases, we will see if we can offer another activity that can be done indoors. Experience shows that we always find a suitable and fun solution this way.
What do you need to wear or bring with you for archery?
Actually, not very much. Comfortable clothes and closed shoes are best for this activity. But above all, good sense is the most important thing to bring!
Do you need archery experience?
No, it is certainly not necessary to have archery experience before starting the activity. You will receive instruction from an experienced guide, who will of course support you throughout the activity.
Can I take photos whilst practising hand archery?
You’re always welcome to take photos whilst shooting, provided it can be done safely! For example, you must not stand at the edge of the shooting range to take photos.
How long does a session of hand archery last?
The duration of the activity depends on the number of people taking part. For up to 9 people, the activity lasts 30 minutes; for between 10 and 15 people, it lasts 45 minutes; and for more than 16 people, the activity lasts 60 minutes.
What is a handbow?
A bow is a weapon used to shoot an arrow.
Is archery also possible with children?
This is certainly possible! We have some children's bows that can be used by children over 12 years old. Older youth could possibly already shoot with a big bow. You can discuss this on site with your activity leader whether this can be done safely.
Can I have a drink during archery?
Absolutely! At our archery range, you’ll find a lovely, sturdy bar table where your group can enjoy a drink whilst taking a break from archery. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we’re not allowed to serve alcohol during the activity, but you’re welcome to have a drink afterwards.
If you’d also like to enjoy some delicious snacks whilst archery, that’s certainly possible. Book these in advance or order them on the spot at the till. That way, archery becomes the ultimate fun social activity!
