Family day for all ages
At Reuselhoeve, it’s all about special family days out, where young and old alike can have fun. Whilst Grandma enjoys the exercise garden for seniors with her youngest grandchildren, Grandad gives instructions to the older visitors in the climbing forest from the comfort of a patio chair. It’s a heart-warming sight to see young and old romping about together and enjoying the activities. Our motto is therefore central to everything we do here: “active relaxation, enjoying time together!”.
Whether you are looking for fun family outings with food, a cousins' day, or just a fun day with the whole family, with us you will find activities for all ages. From adventurous climbing trips to exciting paintball battles and relaxing canoe trips, there is something for everyone.
Activities family day with children
For those who like excitement and action, we offer activities such as laser gaming and paintball. For real, fanatical family outings! Here, families can work together as a team while having fun with exciting games and challenges. Take the whole family into battle with shotgun paintball or let the adults battle it out during paintball while the rest of the family cheers from the sidelines.
For a dose of hilarity and craziness, there is the bathtub race and the toilet bowl race. Step into a bathtub or onto a toilet bowl and race against each other to reach the finish line. These are activities that focus on agility and speed and are guaranteed to bring a lot of laughter. For a family day with children, bathtub racing is great! From 8 years old, you can drive it on your own, otherwise with a supervisor. If the party is a bit older, toilet bowl racing will be more suitable. From 14 years old, you can compete with your brothers, sisters, cousins or parents on this hilarious toilet - a truly special family outing!
If you want to organise a family day out with children more in the theme of games, we offer activities such as Family Expedition, TeamQuest and archery. Here, families can work together, test their skills and enjoy the natural environment. Here, you can enjoy all kinds of activities such as a clog storm course, tug-of-war, monster basketball referee or the canoe sprint. Fun, unforgettable memories are guaranteed here.

Rock climbing or canoeing as a family day out?
For the adventurous among us, we offer climbing in our climbing course and canoe trips on the beautiful river, the Reusel. These are activities where you can feel the adrenaline rush while enjoying the beautiful scenery. At the climbing forest, we offer two different climbing courses for the little adventurers (5-8 years old) or the big climbing course for anyone taller than 1.30m. As these are placed side by side, though, you can climb with the whole family. For those who find it too exciting to go climbing, we always have a number of picnic tables near the climbing forest where you can watch the others climbing while enjoying a drink. This way, you still have the whole family together for your family outing. Or go canoeing together through our beautiful nature reserve. For the little captains, with a life jacket, of course. All together on an adventure in the beautiful Hilver area, a fun outing for all ages.
Our all-in family outings create unforgettable memories and offer the perfect opportunity to spend quality time together. FAQ
Can we customise the family day programme (food, activities, free time)?
Yes, it is certainly possible to put together your own programme in consultation. We will then see if the programme is possible and also at the specific times you would like. All packages you find on our website, such as advantage packages, rallies and all-in packages, are for the convenience of the guest. If you want to mix-and-match a programme yourself, that is certainly possible.
Can we book the family day exclusively or share the location with other guests?
It is possible to book an exclusive family day out. Then you could rent a separate room specifically for your group for the entire day. We do charge room hire for this.
For example, the Rear Room is very popular with families where they can spend some time together with their own group. Warm by the fireplace in winter and quickly by the door to go outside in summer. This way, you can also choose to enjoy self-service. Then you have your own bar where you can tap and enjoy a delicious drink yourself.
Are there enough toilets and is the location wheelchair accessible?
There are more than enough toilets on location and the Reuselhoeve also has a disabled toilet available.
For the rest, there is a disabled parking space in the car park and we would like to hear from you if you are bringing someone who is disabled. Then we will provide a suitable spot.
How far in advance should we book a family day out?
Family days are usually booked up to 5 months in advance. Then you usually still have plenty of choice in activities and arrival times. The later you plan, the fewer choices will be left.
What happens if the number of guests changes at the last minute?
Once you have confirmed the offer, you can still cancel up to 10% of the number of participants up to 7 days before the date. Of course, it is then also possible to increase the number of participants. This is reasonable and by mutual agreement. Unfortunately, we can no longer adjust numbers within 7 days and on the day itself.
